Two 4th Runcorn Scouts, Jack Miller and Jayme Chadwick, took part in the Scouts Triathlon on 21st May, as the team needed to be made up of 6 individuals they teamed up with scouts from 4th Frodsham and from 1st Halton. The event consisted of a Canadian canoeing section, along the River Weaver, then a walking section, around the Frodsham Marshes, followed by a cycling event also around the Frodsham marshes. The team came in first place, winning by a margin of just under an hour, an astonishing achievement considering none of the team had ever met before they were put together on the morning of the event. We would like to thank the organiser, Fiona Barry, the water leaders, route marshals and checkpoint leaders for their time to make sure the event was a success.
