HQ Bookings

Facilities for Hire

Our Headquarters are available to hire for birthday parties, celebrations, events and meetings. All you need to do is contact our HQ Bookings Manager at bookings@4thruncornscoutgroup.org.uk with your enquiry with the following information:

  • Date you would like to book, or any alternative dates you can possibly do
  • Type of event
  • Your name

The HQ bookings Manager will then respond if the HQ is available, if not they may offer other dates that are available around the time.

If the HQ is available , we will let you know and send over a booking form which you must complete and return to us along with a deposit.

Our headquarters is not available during the following times due to the Group’s weekly Scouting meetings:

  • Monday evenings: 8:00-10:00pm (Explorer Scout meetings)* **
  • Tuesday evenings: 6:00-7:30pm (Beaver Colony meetings)*
  • Wednesday evenings:  6:30 – 8:15 pm(Cub Pack meetings)*
  • Friday evenings: 6:30 – 9:30pm (Scout Troop meetings)*

*The meeting room may be used at these times subject to availability, 4th Runcorn Scout Group meetings and Cestrian E.S.U. meetings take priority during scheduled uses.

**Cestrian E.S.U. do not always meet at the HQ on a Monday, due to external activities as scheduled in their programme, please contact the Hall Bookings manager for more information on availability.

Main Hall

We have a large main hall which has a serving hatch that leads to our kitchen. The main hall also has decorative lighting in the ceiling which has a range of colours available as well decorative lighting around the head board

Hall 2 / Meeting Room

Our Meeting room

We have a meeting room which is suitable to hold large meetings and has whiteboard facilities for projecting on to.

Kitchen

Our kitchen was renovated in 2022 with support from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and Children in Need’s Youth Investment Fund. It includes a range cooker as well as hot water boiler, two sinks and a fridge freezer.

Information before you enquire

Please note :

  1. Once we have received your enquiry, the HQ bookings manager on behalf of the Group’s Board of Trustees will consider your request.
  2. We will NOT accept, nor consider applications sent to anyone other than our HQ bookings manager. The Group Lead Volunteer, nor the Chair of the Board of Trustees are able to confirm bookings
  3. The HQ Bookings manager will reply to you with a price and a booking form if the dates are available
  4. You must complete the booking form, agree to our Terms and Conditions and pay a deposit as stated on the bookings form
  5. Please note, that Group’s Board of Trustees & The Group Lead Volunteer has the right to reject any applications should there be any concerns
  6. All bins must be emptied upon leaving the HQ. No food or foodstuffs must be left in the HQ.
