25 World Scout Jamboree Fundraising Launch
17th December 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
We will be hosting a Fundraising meeting for successful candidates and their parents online. Originally this was going to be in person but due to a family having to isolate and the surge in cases we are moving to a teams meeting
At the meeting, we will be explaining next steps and sharing experience from fundraising for previous international events. We are extremely keen that every family attends so you are all ready to hit the ground running and under stand what’s expected of you prior to the county launch in January.
Parents play a key role in the fundraising and are expected to be as involved as the young people. At the meeting we will form a fundraising committee where every family is represented by at least one parent or adult from the extended family. At the meeting, we are looking for a parent to step forward to chair the committee but don’t worry there will be support. If you want to know more about what’s involved prior to the meeting please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Oliver Chambers (DC) and/or Michelle Pickstock (District Secretary).
This will also be your opportunity to ask any questions and meet the other families from Mersey Weaver who you’ll be working with on your journey on the lead up to, during and after the World Scout Jamboree in 2023.
